The International Museum of Surgical Science offers a truly distinctive venue for weddings and special events. Located just minutes from Downtown Chicago, the Museum provides guests with an elegant setting, fascinating exhibits, and breathtaking views of Lake Michigan. Few venues can match the opulence of our beautifully preserved early 20th-century mansion.
The Museum offers a truly one-of-a-kind setting for private events in Chicago, with flexible rental options to suit your needs. All rentals have a 3-hour minimum (including 1 hour for setup, 1 hour for your event, and 1 hour for cleanup).

Daytime Private Events
During regular Museum hours, you may choose a partial closure—featuring exclusive use of the elegant Hall of Immortals and historic Library—or reserve the entire Museum for a full closure.
Evening Private Events
After hours, your event will enjoy exclusive access to our stunning second-floor event space. Guests are also invited to explore all four floors of the Museum’s exhibits, creating a memorable and immersive experience.
Pricing
Daytime (9:00am-5:00pm):
Partial Closure: $550/hour
Full Closure: $1,000/hour
Evening (4:00pm-12:00am)
Full Closure: $750/hour
After Hours Rate (12:00am-6:00am)
$1,000/hour
